Editor's Note

By now we all understand the virtue and value of social networking. Getting in touch or staying in touch with those that are important to you is not only easy to do with today's technologies, but it has become a past time that dominates many people. Social networking is now the preferred way to find friends, true love and even get the vote out as our last presidential election demonstrated.
Translating all this from a personal to a professional level however can be a bit challenging and confusing. Social networking that may be acceptable on the college campus may not work at all when it comes to building a professional network. Selecting which technical platform or social community to join will either open up or severely limit your access to the right people. With so many new ways to network it's easy to get confused- not only with what to use but if you should use any of it at all.
In this issue of Launch we asked several expert networkers to share their views on the fundamental value of social networking as a part of business. You will hear from those who are adamant that it is essential to a successful business. You will also hear from others who temper the buzz and excitement with the reality from the professional world. All of this to help you know decide what works best for you.
Staying connected is important to all entrepreneurs and we know that. In fact, the goal and mission of Launch is to keep you connected and keep you informed. So please enjoy this issue and, by all means, lets' stay in touch. See you in the social world.
