Cammon Randle Named to BusinessWeek's Top 25 List
Provo-based CopperRain Productions' front man, Cammon Randle, has been named to BusinessWeek's much-touted Top 25 Entrepreneurs under the age of 25 list.
"I guess this just shows that when you follow your passion, things happen," says Randle. "We love what we do, and it's nice to get a chance to shine."
Randle actually started his business in his teens, taking a breather from BYU's School of Communications and a couple of years in England.
"I was interested in a lot of things when I was a kid," Randle says, "but the first time I got a camera in my hands, it was definitely love." He graduated from the university two years ago, and with his wife, Lorri Randle, who has a background in broadcast journalism and video sports production, picked up where he left off with CopperRain Productions.
The company's focus has been corporate clients' need for both promotional and educational materials. The Randles specialize in educating businesses and marketing teams about the effectiveness of Internet video in reaching and motivating a wider audience.
"It's great to build a life around what you love and believe in," Randle says.

Six Universities to Participate in On-Campus Sports Beta Launch
Kaysville-based On-Campus Sports, LLC announced that it has reached agreements with six universities who will participate in the company's beta program. The beta participants are The University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Utah Valley Community College, Dixie College and Weber State University.
On-Campus Sports is creating a Web 2.0 experience for intramural and club sport athletes. When the company's Web community launches in the fall of 2007, it will offer participant athletes the ability to get scouting information, game coverage, national and local power rankings, statistics, standings, highlight video and the ability to interact with other student athletes around the country.
"We are pleased to have such strong beta partners to help us launch this first of its kind sports community," said On-Campus Sports CEO, Brett Blake. "These six schools represent about 50 schools who have already expressed an interest in our concept, and they will work with our development team to create the first Internet property for college club and intramural sport participants."
The On-Campus Sports' Web site at www.oncampussports.com, will become the home of the first intramural and college club sports media and social networking site. The company will secure much of its content and user base through free licensing agreements of its On-Campus Sports Intramural Application, which allows universities to offer online registration, instant and dynamic scheduling, online fee processing, sportsmanship administration, online results, tournament building and game coverage.
Headquartered in Kaysville, Utah, On-Campus Sports began operations in July 2006. In addition to the On-Campus Sports Intramural Application software, the company is building the only online social networking center devoted to intramural and college club sports. When the company launches that Web site in late 2007, anyone with a valid e-mail address from a supported college or university intramural program will qualify to register and receive a free On-Campus Sports membership. Members can create personal and team profiles, connect with team members and participants from other schools, share stats, compare their performance, and view coverage and rankings of their team and of teams and participants across the country.
