Zions Bank Offers Free Business BuilderBooklets

The Zions Business Resource Center has published a new series of Business Builder booklets designed for all types of businesses and for individuals in the planning stages of a business startup. Free to interested entrepreneurs, the booklets are how-to guides that offer simple instructions on everything from creating a business plan to analyzing profitability using ratios. Worksheets, examples, and resources for additional information are included in each booklet.

Zions Bank worked with business experts to develop a series of 12 booklets. Six booklets are available now, with six more currently in production.

AtTask Secures $7 Million With OpenView Venture Partners

Orem-based AtTask, Inc., announced the completion of $7 million in equity funding from OpenView Venture Partners, a venture capital investment firm based in Boston. The move marks the first outside funding to be obtained by AtTask and will be used for global and domestic market development. The company's size has doubled in the last seven months with 2007 revenue thus far quickly surpassing 2006 — which was up 200 percent from 2005.

The company's flagship product, @task, places business intelligence tools in the hands of executives and team-collaboration in the hands of the front line. Its platform independent solution is increasing efficiency and productivity for Fortune 500 companies across the globe. AtTask's clients include Apple, CBS, Johnson & Johnson, Chevron, Fujitsu, Hanes, Hawaiian Airlines, HBO, Hitachi, GE, McDonalds, Toyota, UCLA and Walt Disney.

OpenView Venture Partners is an expansion-stage venture capital fund with a focus on high-growth software, Internet and technology-enabled companies.

Allegiance Closes on $5.7 Million VC Round

South Jordan-based enterprise feedback management solutions company, Allegiance (www.allegiance.com), has closed on a $5.7 million round of funding led by Allegis Capital, with participation from existing investor TPP Capital Advisors. NVCC (Nippon Venture Capital) also participated in the round.

The Allegiance Active Listening System is a suite of six Web-based tools being used by more than 1,600 organizations across the country to collect, manage and respond to feedback from customers, employees, partners and other constituents. The tools, which include CustomerVoice, EmployeeVoice and SilentWhistle, collect actionable, real-time feedback and provide organization's management with the information they need to make informed, strategic business decisions, support the needs of the people that support them, and improve loyalty from inside and outside the organization.

 

Mozy Releases Backup Tool for Business

American Fork-based Berkeley Data Systems has released MozyPro, a business version of its popular consumer-focused Mozy computer backup solution.

MozyPro is easy to set up and use. Personal computer or server data is automatically backed up over the Internet and stored on off-site secure servers making it an ideal hedge against catastrophic data loss. MozyPro may be managed by individual users or through a company's IT staff. Pricing starts at $3.95 per month plus $0.50 per GB.
